Why Bunny's Blog?

You may notice that throughout the blog baby is referred to as "bunny". Many people use nicknames like "bean" but I thought bunny was cute.

8 Months and So Sunny

Hooray I am 8 months old!

Today we visited a place that was both happy and sad, a huge field of over 1 million sunflowers that were planted in honor of Maria, a little girl who died of brain cancer. It was a beautiful day and a lot of people had stopped at the sunflower field to take pictures.

Most of the sunflowers are about 3 feet tall because the first crop of seeds that were planted were washed away. September is childhood cancer awareness month so a new crop of smaller, faster growing sunflowers was planted so they would bloom in time.

Everyone thought I was so cute! Even strangers walking by said they loved my hair and tried to make me smile.

I got to look at the sunflowers up close too. Unlike the dandelions, I did not try to eat these flowers.

Taking pictures with the sunflowers was really fun. Mom said she got a new thing for her camera so she might actually take more pictures soon.

Teeth!

Toby's teeth have broken through the gums but he hides them so they are super hard to photograph. This blurry photo took forever to get.

6 Month Checkup

Today was my 6 month checkup!

I am 20 pounds and 28 inches long. I got my shots like a big boy and only cried a little bit. The doctor also gave me a book!

Today the doctor said she heard a heart murmur so next week I will go to a special heart doctor.

Here I am with the coolest toy in the office... Crinkle paper!

20 Weeks a Grand Slam

Toby is 20 weeks old today and the theme this week is baseball!

Toby is a "Major Cutie", but the baseball is bigger than he is.

We know Toby is looking forward to eating, but he is really trying to get at the bubble gum inside this baseball bat.

Om-nom-nom!

Do you think I am ready for the major leagues?

Aunt Dani even bought me some Cracker Jacks!

I can't strike out with a cool bat like this.

Unlike my mommy I have some coordination and plan on being able to actually catch the ball.

GO TRIBE!

Adventures in Wisconsin

Over the weekend I visited my great-grandparents in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin hills and farmland are really pretty. There are a lot of cows and a lot of cheese. Here is a baby cow with his mom and aunt up on the hill.

The cows all come down to the barn when great-grandpa yells for them to come get their food.

Punkin keeps an eye on everyone on the farm.

Great Grandma was excited to hold me.

Great Grandpa was excited too.

I got to meet some of the goats on the farm.

But they were naughty and tried to eat my foot!

That was kind of upsetting!

Mom said a sad cow is better than a mad cow, but I am supposed to be a laughing cow.

But now I am just a sleepy cow.

It was nice to relax outside with the dandelions.
