Why Bunny's Blog?

You may notice that throughout the blog baby is referred to as "bunny". Many people use nicknames like "bean" but I thought bunny was cute.

3rd Monthiversary!

Today is my 3 month birthday!

I have learned how to smile really big. I am starting to laugh, but it gives me the hiccoughs!

Sometimes I stop to think about things because I can be a serious baby. I'm serious about FOOD, I wish mom would let me eat oatmeal but she said I have to wait three more months. That is as long as I have been alive!

Other times I am making a lot of noises like goooooooo and gaaaaaa and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I mostly say grrrr when I don't want to go to sleep.

My froggy friend likes my outfit. He says it is bee-utiful.

12 Weeks and Tummy Time

Toby is 12 weeks old! Today we have a video of tummy time. For those who are not in the know it is now recommended that babies sleep on their backs. But because babies are sleeping on their backs they are not using their muscles the same way that kids my age did. So every day we are supposed to do some tummy time to help build upper body strength.

Mommy is teaching me to share so I will share my Good Luck with EVERYBODY!!!

Hopefully next year I will be old enough for some corned beef and cabbage and green mashed potatoes.

Nine Weeks and Simply Spotty

Toby is nine weeks old today! The doctor says he is doing really well. He weighs 13 pounds 12 ounces and is 24.5 inches long. That is the 98th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weight. I guess that is why he is wearing 6 month clothing and his legs won't fit into anything smaller.

Today I have some friends for you to meet. They are looking for their forever home in your heart so I hope you will read the interesting information about them. This week's post will have you seeing spots....

I like to grunt when I do tummy time.

I like to act like tummy time is very difficult so mom will feed me more when I am done.

I have very sharp finger nails even when they get trimmed. Grandma said the cats are a bad influence.

I learned to pinch people with my toes.

Sometimes I listen to music to fall asleep. If classical music doesn't work I like a song called "Fat Bottomed Girls"

I sleep in my crib like a big boy.

I like to have my mommy and daddy read to me.

I know how to give high fives.

I think it is funny to turn my wetness indicator on my diapers blue to match my eyes.

I like to look at the lights for fun.

Today was a ruff day. I got three shots and didn't even cry (that much) because I am a tough guy.

2nd Monthiversary

Hello everyone. I would be two months old on February 30th but for some reason there are only 28 days in that month. So mom said I'm two months old now so she can take pictures.

Mom said two month olds are allowed to sit in a box if they are very careful and have a buddy.

I like sitting with my froggy because he is green and he is my friend. We like to make silly faces.

Mom said I should take pictures with my green toys today. This is my friend dragon. He is magic and sometimes he is green and sometimes he is purple. Today he is green, but
Mom found out that I don't have that many green toys!

I got new socks from my great grandparents the other day. These socks are really cool because they make noise when I kick my feet.

My kitty is very soft. I can pet it gently and sometimes I chew on her arm for fun.

But you can pretend like you did not see that right?

Eight Weeks Old and Storytime

Today Toby is eight weeks old!

My name is Toby and I would like to read you a story...

Once upon a time there was a handsome baby. He was the Prince of Ellis and all of his subjects adored him. One day he had dinner while listening to the song " I Just Can't Wait to be King". His eyes got very heavy and soon he was fast asleep.

His mommy and daddy put him in some comfy pajamas and when he opened his eyes he was playing in the sky with the moon and the stars. Suddenly a shooting star went by. The little prince waved at the shooting star, closed his eyes and said, "Please shooting star, I wish that I could be king please."

When he opened his eyes he found himself in the royal woods surrounded by all of the forest animals and he was surprised to find out he looked completely different. "You are our king now," they said. But the little prince was not very happy. He missed his mommy and daddy. He missed his toys. He wanted to go home!

The animals told him he must go and talk to the frog. The frog was the only one who would be able to help him go back home. So the little prince set out on a journey to find this frog and ask him for help. Soon the prince found him but the frog did not want to help him. The frog was lonely in his pond all by himself. The prince promised to be his friend if the frog would help him.

The frog thought...

And he thought...

And he thought...

Then he agreed to help the little prince because that is what friends do.
The prince closed his eyes and when he opened them again he was back to normal. "I will take you to the castle with me," he said.

And he did.

The End

Seven Weeks And Oh So Sleepy

Toby is seven weeks old today. I can't believe I am already writing another one of these. The time is really flying by. This week we had a lot of hot weather but also some natural sunlight so we could take some pictures. Toby was actually sleeping through most of them, but I think we got some cute ones.

This owl was one I got in a bag of hand-me-downs from a lady at work. I think the owl is really cute, fits the forest theme in Toby's room, and it is actually a puppet too.

Toby often likes to sleep with one or both arms out or above his head. It is one reason we really don't swaddle him anymore. Not only does he not fit in the blankets, but he has never really liked to have his hands contained. I adore the little fox outfit he has on here, but he is actually probably too big for it now.

I think this picture came out really nice, but I was really mad at my camera because it kept auto-focusing on the bunny instead of Toby's head no matter what I tried to do. Eventually I just took the picture anyway because I thought it was cute, but I am annoyed because I feel like it could have been just a little better if my camera had cooperated.

One downside to taking photos when Toby fell asleep is that I feel like a lot of them are visually similar. That is why I liked when we could pose some more slightly different ones. I don't always like them and end up using them, but I thought this one was really cute. *kisses*

This white bunny also came from IKEA. Who would have thought they would be a good place for affordable stuffed forest animals? I like this one because it is very plush, but the downside is white is much harder to photograph than other colors (that is one reason wedding photography costs what it does).

And just in case you thought Toby slept through all of his photographs, here we have one where he is awake. I think he is pretty photogenic even when he is sticking his tongue out at the camera!
